Alexander Maier (Stefan Kurt) is the perfectionist CFO of the Swiss automotive supplier Walser, who subordinates his whole life to work.
He still hopes that his ex-wife and son will return to him - but then the new CEO Hans-Werner Brockmann (Ulrich Tukur) bursts into his life. The top manager is to restructure the company. The two energetically forge a plan to save the company, but soon their collegiality turns into a bitter fight. When a deal with a major investor implodes, Brockmann blames Maier for the failure.
Maier realises that he has lost everything: his reputation, his wife and his son. In this emptiness he sees only one possibility to take revenge on Brockmann...
