The young Swiss couple Daniela Widmer and David Och are kidnapped in 2011 on their journey along the old Silk Road in Pakistan, abducted 500 kilometers to warlike Waziristan and handed over to the Taliban there. Now the two have been held hostage in the most precarious conditions for eight months until they are the only civilians to date who manage to escape from the Taliban on their own.
